How many years have you been creating design or art?

I’ve been a creative my whole life. I’ve been creating 3D Art for about 3 years now.

How many years of professional experience do you have?

I’ve been freelancing Graphic Design for about 5 years and a freelance 3D Artist and Animator for about 2 years.

Which industry do you mainly work in?

Ironically, I would say the music industry! I make a lot of Album/Song artwork and animations to go with them.

How many hours do you work on a regular day?

I can work anywhere from one hour to eight-ish hours. It depends on what I have on my plate and how I’m feeling that day.

Which apps do you use in your workflow?

Mainly Blender 3D with some post editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. I love the whole Adobe suite, though, and a lot of those apps come in handy at different times.

How did you develop your creative skills?

Mostly through the Academy of YouTube! There are unlimited resources at our fingertips, and it’s honestly life-changing.

Can you tell us about your daily creative process?

I try to surround myself in an inspirational environment that gets me in the mood to create. And when I’m not in the mood, I do my best to at least open Blender to get out some creativity. Often, the best work comes when I push through that barrier.

Which art tools do you use besides your computer?

Nothing, honestly! I’ve always said I’m horrible at traditional art, which is why I have a computer to do it for me.

Do you use any external hardware?

I have a Zoom H5 field recorder that’s good for getting real-world sounds and ambiance for sound design.

What are your current workstation hardware specs?

Ryzen 9, Nvidia 2080 Super, 32GB RAM, 2 TB SSD.

What is your favorite type of project?

I would have to go with personal projects that are inspired by a real-life event or emotions I’m feeling. Being able to translate my feelings through art is truly the most satisfying thing in the world.

What do you think about the future of creative jobs?

Seeing these AI machines get advanced so quickly is scary, but I truly believe in the human touch. If you have something truly unique you’re bringing to the table, there will always be a seat for you there. And if you aren’t bringing something new to the table, then why do it at all?

Which social media platforms do you actively use?

Instagram is definitely my main. I also use TikTok and Twitter.

What is your opinion about NFTs?

NFTs have sooo much functionality to them, and we’ve really only scratched the surface. I think people write them off very quickly, but just like crypto, they’ll slowly integrate into our society more and more and be used in ways we never could’ve imagined. Whether you’re a fan of them or not, you should be happy that digital artists can sell their art just like traditional artists. I think that’s pretty dang special.

Can you share a Spotify playlist you listen to while working?

Drum ‘n Bass gets my gears turnin’! Here’s the Spotify Playlist Link.
