The simplest high-performance computers on the cloud for the creative class.
A while ago I needed to run Adobe Premiere Pro for a project and realized that my Macbook Air with 4GB RAM was no match for the task. Put quite an effort to access a better computer at the time, and it was a real challenge to do it as a non-developer user and as someone out of a corporation with an IT department that took care of everything.
And I was not the only one. I heard similar stories from other friends: video editors, designers, architects - they were all complaining about their endless struggle with computation power and how it limits them. Although there were multiple cloud services around, they were either targeting developers -with a considerably complicated experience for muggles- or enterprises, where IT departments were always an email away for help. We -the common people- were left unattended.
Although there were multiple cloud services around, we -the common people- were left unattended.
That gave birth to an idea, What if there were a very simple high-performance computer service on the cloud that everyone could use easily from any device? No complex options, no developer lingo: just type your password and access to a computer which is at least 10 times more powerful than what you have.
Enter, vagon!
vagon is the simplest high-performance computer that anyone can use. It has been designed for the creative class and others who need a computer that evolves with their needs.
Imagine starting your Macbook Air only to access 100GB+ RAM, as many cores of CPU as you like, and a very powerful GPU. That is what vagon offers, you can access whatever computational needs you have, through any device and anywhere!
No more suffering from the limitations of physical hardware!
And we all need better computers, don’t we? Though, why we need them, may differ. A graphical designer needs to run Adobe products, a video editor deals with tons of GBs in a single job, and an architecture spends the most time with Revit or Lumion. They all have heavy duty tasks and require top tier computers. The problem space extends even further when we consider CAD designers, engineers, researchers, hobbyists, students, and others.
How does it work?
vagon is “Click & Use” simple. You can choose a ‘vagon station’ from multiple performance options and start it right away.
It is your personal cloud computer: your settings, and your software. vagon handles infrastructure, reliable connection, and all means of security.
vagon is built on global cloud services, it handles all technical challenges and provides reliable experience through its technology. That means now we all have access to high-performance computers, regardless of our whereabouts and technical knowledge.
vagon ensures the best experience by placing your computer at the nearest possible location.
Its experience has been carefully designed to make it the simplest. You don’t need to know the geek language to use it: If you are an internet user like the other billions in the world, congratulations, you have your vagon driver license.
All you need is a connection to claim your freedom.
A stable internet connection is what you need to use your vagon station, and it is a must for almost everything these days. vagon is designed to perform well under challenging network conditions but the better the connection, the better the experience.
vagon gives you back your freedom.
If you are a digital nomad in heart and mind, it is your companion. Put aside the troubles of carrying a heavy computer around and enjoy working anywhere. The world is your office now!
vagon comes with practical feature sets to make the life of digital nomads and pro software users even easier, which we will talk about in the upcoming posts.
Rush for the early access has started already!
There are weeks left for our launch and we already have a growing early access list with early adopters all around the world. We’d like you to test vagon, too. Be among the first users, tell us your feedback, and enjoy working without limits.
